📋 Tasks & Logs
How to track work and log progress in your workspace
Creating Tasks
Tasks are the building blocks of work in LogHue. To create a task:
- Go to your workspace
- Click "New Task"
- Enter a clear title
- Add a description
- Assign it to a team member
- Click "Create"
Tasks can be assigned to specific members.
Task States
For simplicity, tasks move through two states as work progresses:
Newly created and currently being worked on
Finished, finalized and archived
Owner and Admins can change task states. Members can only log task updates based on current state.
Logging Work
Logs are records of what you've done. They keep the team informed about progress:
- Click View Task in the workspace task
- Below the Task view page, what you accomplished in the input field
- Click "Submit Log"
Logs are timestamped automatically and visible to all workspace members.
Discussions
Start conversations with your team:
General Discussions
Start a discussion about anything related to the workspace.
Task-Linked Discussions
Start a discussion related to a task for focused conversation.
Comments & Replies
Comment on discussions and reply to others to collaborate.
Notes
Keep important information handy:
- Create personal notes for yourself
- Use notes for meeting summaries, ideas, or references
- Export notes in 5 different formats
- Access notes quickly from the sidebar
This can be done in the notes page in the main app.
Histories
Keep your workspace clean by closing completed tasks:
- Closed tasks are hidden from the main view
- All data is preserved
- Closed tasks are visible in the task history section
- You can restore closed tasks anytime
To close: Open a task → click "Mark as completed". To view archived: go to Tasks History in the sidebar.
